It's X'mas day

We had a not-too-early morning in which the kids opened their gifts. It was the year of the headphone, apparently. I have a swanky new health-positive cardigan-like sweater with scientific properties I don't understand, and a type of heavy shirt with pockets that's called a shacket, apparently. The Girl has oil paints and brushes and canvases, and The Boy has some amazing architecture books. We had a nice chat with my family in Canada and later some terrific food.
Three good things that happened today:
- The Girl is interested in the sci-fi book I got her (because it is in a sci-fi horror thing she's watching)
- The Boy liked his three-watch travel box -- and the hand-me-down SARB033
- The Wife liked the necklace I'd previously alluded to in this journal
