movie review - This is Forty

twenty-seven years and one million words

This is a movie about a couple who are dealing with middle age. It's somehow emotionally insincere and stilted, like a Woody Allen movie. There are points where you can almost see the actors struggling with the material, which is something because apparently three of the actors are in the writer-director's immediate family. I won't relate the plot because it's more of a character thing and neither plot nor characters are enough to report on.
I toughed it out for some reason but there was no payoff.
Not recommended.
