bundled belatedly
den Haag, 2025.11.23
I arrived in the Hague without enough cold weather clothes. I mean, below is the sunrise that greeted me on Sunday.
Silly me! Easily rectified.
bundled belatedly
I spent part of the day lugging my laundry in the rain to and from an off-site dry-cleaning shop. Much to my amazement, they were able to have everything ready for me within six hours, and all in it only cost €25 including tax, rather than the €57 plus tax that the hotel wanted. I was pleased with myself as I'm paying all these expenses out of pocket and in my first international assignment, I had to rely on hotel laundry services for six weeks and my employer was retroactively unimpressed.
This is what I had for lunch.
My 'dinner' consisted of a coffee and a plate of fries from one of the small places that I've realized are to be found in nearly every block of the neighborhood. The place had a strong family-run vibe: two hard-working people were running the place while a young lady studied in the corner.
