so this is country 22

Five months ago to the day, I entered Romania the first time. It was my 21st country. Today I entered Belgium, my 22nd country. A colleague was showing me around both Bruges and Ghent. Five out of five, would visit again. I ate venison for the first time that I can remember. I can recall having turtle circa 2009, but not when I last ate deer. Mmmm, deer.

Buuuuut, it was only 1º Celcius, a good deal colder than the forecast I saw before leaving Tokyo on Monday. So, I wound up buying both a toque and a scarf -- of which I have a few waiting back home. Silly me. But I wasn't alone, there were lots of people in the stores today bulking up with sweaters and hoodies and so on.
