conference in Romania
I'm back in Romania for work. Last time it was pushing 40 degrees, this time it's down around five degrees and is rainy. I was considering taking "Uber" for the first time, but took a taxi as was my employer's recommendation. I had the usual taxi-driver conversation about immigrants etc.
Rather than actually being in Bucharest, I'm well outside the city in a small village with a conference-style hotel. It was 23 hours, door to door, including two hours in Istanbul airport. I have to tell you, airlines, just because you want me to buy something in your connection airports don't make it so. You can make the total layover one hour. Also, cheers to whoever at Turkish airlines confused Bucharest with Budapest and sent me to the wrong gate at time for the flight to the latter. Nice try....
