Kokubunji, 2025.08.19

Thanks to Turkish Airways and ANA for getting us home when Err Canada could not. I wasn't particularly looking to fly around the world in a three-week space, nor to spend $3,900 out of the blue, but so it goes when you choose Air Canada, it seems.

We landed in the usual upsetting heat and humidity and crawled our way home on the monorail and two trains. Mari met us in Kokubunji, and we're done. Ninety minutes after getting in, I was signed in on my work laptop to check out the damage. I'd missed an important meeting with my mentor and two solid days of appointments with my colleagues. But again, so it goes when you choose Air Canada.
