sriracha vending machine

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Kokubunji, 2024.01.13

I came across a new type of vending machine in Japan. It has sriracha. I zipped past on my bike, doubled back and a young fellow was buying one. I asked if it was tasty, he said he didn't know. I asked if it was his first time, he said yes. I told him, "me, too." From a vending machine that is.

Mari had previously spotted one outside the nearby US airbase, but I reckon that's different from far-flung Kodaira.

rand()m quote

It may be that when we no longer know what to do we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go we have come to our real journey. The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings.
