kamakura
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
Today, I returned to Kamakura -- acting as tour guide for five Dutch visitors sent from my employer's headquarters. We rented bikes and had a great time taking in a series of sights. We stopped for a meal at "Bistro Omme", which turned out to be excellent, and everyone reported having a fine time. I was using an old guide book, "10 Temples on Two Wheels", which I've used before. Another local guide was my former colleague Marco, who despite having been to Kamakura "twenty times" said he'd never again take visitors there without a bike.
