In a rather jarring change of pace, I found myself in a Kabuki theatre today. From fishing in small town Canada to this!
The event was geared at children, so it had an explanatory session first in which they showed us how the sets work and also walked through the characters and why they would behave a certain way. I enjoyed it. It was all a bit too much for Emma to bear, I think. If it's not a YouTube short, she don't want to know.
My only note for Japan: I think it would be ok for women to play female characters, yeah?
