walking and walking

twenty-seven years and one million words
The Girl and I went for a walk today, first to the water and then back; and then to a nearby shopping mall. She's not an avid walker but was enticed on the second trip by the prospect of a freezie (which she never got, come to think of it).
At the mall, I was looking for an anti-static bag for the motherboard I'm taking to Tokyo. There's a substantial computer shop there but they didn't have anything like that for sale. We had a look around the store, and Emma had me try a massage chair. Then I realized that the service desk must have some anti-static bags, and I asked. Sure enough, the fellow gave me something. I told him, "this is a trick I learned from my father; he always asks."
On the way home we stopped at a bench in another part of that on-and-off linear park (quite removed from the water) and enjoyed the tremendous weather.
