dinner with a friend

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Kokubunji, 2021.10.22

I had dinner with a friend tonight for the first time in so long I don't remember. It might have been in Canada in early '20. We discussed what was going to happen with the debt that all these countries were carrying. I said I wasn’t sure it was going to matter because the societies are already collapsing so what does it matter if the government does too, and that the global climate catastrophe would make us all forget it anyway.

I wonder if any records from this time will survive what we're doing to this planet. Ah well, leave it to the cockroaches and ants.

rand()m quote

A lot of people lose the spirit of childhood. Every child has a lot of imagination and you lose it little by little. I don't know why, but I kept it.
