sunset on a New Year's Day

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Kokubunji, 2021.01.01

We went out to see the sunset. There's a thing that photographers do in this country called "Diamond Fuji", where you capture the setting sun just at the peak of Mount Fuji. I asked a local pro photographer whether I'd captured it but he pointed out that it wasn't truly at the peak.

This whole thing reminded me to clean my lenses better and to do something about the dust on my sensor.

rand()m quote

I believe you find life such a problem because you think there are good people and bad people. You're wrong, of course. There are, always and only, the bad people, but some of them are on opposite sides.

—Terry Pratchett (as Lord Vetinari)
