twenty-seven years and one million words

This morning I set off to find a kickstand. I was a motivated buyer. My route around the neighborhood looked like this:

I got a bit turned about on two occasions

But I returned with not only a kickstand but some tools for doing various bike stuff. This included a palm-sized screwdriver with a ratchet/brake thing.

That screwdriver turned out to be critical, because Mari had plans for me to assemble a kitchen drawer unit with sliding flat shelves for things like the toaster and rice maker. It took hours, but it would have been worse without that driver.

The other purchase of the trip was a floor-style bike pump. Which turned out to be the best I've ever bought. I could easily get Mari's tiny 25mm tires up to 120 PSI, and it had an adapter that allowed me to fill The Girl's tires as well despite their Dunlop valves.

We had our first "movie night" of the new home. The TV is really good, though I think I'll have to juggle around the home network a bit because the sound and high quality video dropped out a couple of times. The Boy didn't join us because he was gaming, so it was The Girl's choice.
