rebuilding the Tokyobike

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Kokubunji, 2020.09.26

Mari's old Tokyobike now has a new set of tires and tubes, and a new front axle to replace the one I broke when attempting repairs in Toronto last year. It's the first time it's been rideable in five or six years. Mari loves the thing, it's 10kg and the perfect size for her. We hope that Ken will be riding it to the station on the main "Chuo" line that's closest to our home.

I do like to rebuild an old PC or bike.

rand()m quote

Remove everything that has no relevance to the story. If you say in the first chapter that there is a rifle hanging on the wall, in the second or third chapter it absolutely must go off. If it's not going to be fired, it shouldn't be hanging there.
