movie review - Enola Holmes

This is an imaginative new story about the young sister of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes, who defies her older brothers by striking out to find their mother, who seems quite fixed on not being found, for reasons unknown. The young detective runs into revolutionaries, gangsters, and .. the wealthy. It's a quickly-paced piece and they manage to not overdue "the nerve of the girl" in all of it. There are a number of fancifully implausible bits but on the whole I enjoyed it. It's got the girl from Stranger Things, take that for what you will.
Recommended. For a night's distraction.
