re-connecting with a former colleague

twenty-seven years and one million words

I've re-connected with a number of former colleagues from my last run at the life insurance firm where I am today. One unexpected connection came with a woman who worked at the same firm where Mari and I met, fifteen years ago. I told Mari of my struggles with the woman's name, and she realized it had to be the same person.

I then reached out to her former boss, who was my client and someone who I saw socially a number of times while living here. He has been living in the UK for several years, but was pleased when I reached out and told me to pass on his greetings to her as well.
