We're leaving for Tokyo next week. I've had assurances from my would-be boss and the headhunter that the offer is imminent. At the same time, Japan is moving to close down its schools and is cancelling public events such as the Emperor's birthday celebrations and some sporting events. They must surely have their eye on the Olympics!
In news somewhat closer to home, it's become apparent that a government of know-nothings isn't the best in dealing with such crises. We know people who are already preparing by stocking up on food (and even ammunition).
And sadly, one of our dear friends and her daughter were taunted by some punk kid two years Ken's junior with "Corona! Corona!" They are Asian.
