movie review - Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

twenty-eight years and a million words

This is a Batman spin-off, or perhaps a spin-off of "Suicide Squad", which is a spin-off of Batman. Anyway, it's a girl-power thing starring a mentally ill girl (fixated on a man that rejected). Ever since seeing her in "Fargo", I've wanted to see more of Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and she's the reason I watched this. But this is such a mess it's not worth the effort. I found myself skipping through patches when it had reached the point of paint-by-numbers.
