I've been watching these Youtube videos in a series called PBS Eons with the kids. It's truly amazing what they now know that they didn't know when I did two credits in Geology 25 years ago. For instance that there were not one but several water-world eras in Earth's history, two ice-ball eras, and that on two occasions significant animal populations rafted from Africa to South America. It's also interesting what we don't know–for instance: how the great cats evolved, or where.
