GMO salmon in our grocery stores

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Toronto, 2017.08.18

If you thought that salmon you ate was a natural organism, I hope you don't live in Canada. It turns out that GMO salmon have been on the market for more than a year in this country. Unlabeled. Untested by the government. Raised on who knows what hormones and feed stock. And that feed stock collected from places unknown - and with mysterious practices.

That's according to an article in the CBC passed along by my mum. It's been in the news before, but I suspect that not enough people are hearing about this.

(FWIW, if I somehow caught the GMO fish appearing in the pic at the bottom of that second article, I think I'd throw it back. It looks .. wrong. Soft and bloated. Female steroids, perhaps?)

rand()m quote

It may be that when we no longer know what to do we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go we have come to our real journey. The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings.
