that's it, I'm going fishing

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

I took the morning off for some fishing, but the lake's still funny. By that I mean, odd currents, unusually cloudy in the harbor, and surprisingly lifeless. The lake's been a stranger since the water levels have been up.

As for the fish; even only 4-6 weeks ago I'd see fish with every visit. Today I saw only a couple of carp and nothing at all in the open lake (which was, oddly, aquarium clear).

rand()m quote

A civilization is a heritage of beliefs, customs, and knowledge slowly accumulated in the course of centuries, elements difficult at times to justify by logic, but justifying themselves as paths when they lead somewhere, since they open up for man his inner distance.
