My wife's an economist by training and is now learning to become an FX trader – I keep thinking of a certain chart. It's one created originally by Chris Martenson and the gang at "peak prosperity". If I read it (and it is meant to be representative, and not depicting exact dates) we're right around the peak in industrial and food output.
