We had a ball last night with the kids for trick-or-treating. Because we both went with the kids, and then met some friends (their son and ours are great friends) we were able to actually enjoy it.
But we saw a few of *those* dads. Standing alone in the cold rain, groaning, "what do you say?" to their kid as the kid ran from door to door, also alone. The scenario I'd lived the past few years....
