I've had some interesting results from a survey of technology service providers who had completed a third-party service audit. Conducted for my dissertation, I asked "Do you feel that implementing an enterprise risk management function will impact / has impacted the 'message' at your firm?"
The results were encouraging. Apparently these firms feel very strongly that the initiative for process improvement undertaken at their firm had impacts well beyond operations.
