the 143 is no kind of express bus

There's a supposedly "express" bus that runs from Toronto's Beaches neighbourhood to the downtown. Thanks to the endless expanse of condo construction along the downtown stretch of its route, it now not only takes longer than the plodding street car, but the downtown stretch from Sherbourne to York moves at a bare walking speed. Also, it's plagued with no-shows in the schedule, such as this morning's 08:15.
Considering that this "express" costs two fares (more than $5) I'm pulling the plug. I hope to be back on my bike after my upcoming week off.
