upgraded an aquarium

I've upgraded our little 10 gallon aquarium to a 16 gallon affair that sits in the same footprint but is 60% again taller. It's beautiful. You can't cram more fish into than you can a 10 gallon, but it's a much more attractive shape. We'd picked up a stand and a more powerful external filter to go along with it, but everything else carried over from the old aquarium - hood, gravel, sponge filter, and heater.

It looks great. The seven neons seem very happy in their new home. This is the first time I've had neons in such good shape that they have a row of tiny dots down their spines and a hint of green in the scales on their cap (much like rummy-nose tetras).

The 25 gallon tank saw the arrival of some new inmates now that the environment's stabilized again; a tiny bristlenose pleco (which Kenny named "Hans Olo", not sure what he's thinking) and six new "golden" (captive bred pseudo-albino) zerba danios. The angel seems to have adjusted very well (we'd picked up these fish on Friday before heading to Niagara) and everything looks good. The tone of the tank has really changed without the older, larger fish that would hang around the bottom, frequently hiding. I'm going to leave this mix as it is.
