Wow, someone's asked me to be a reference in applying for a new venture affecting their livelihood.
I've volunteered several letters of commendation, but this is a first. I look forward to commending the hell out of the person. Is "transcendent" in vogue? Or should I go the route of Moe from Simpsons, "I'm a well wisher in that I don't wish him any specific harm."
