I'd always taken 'sleet' to mean 'freezing rain' but it turns out there's a different kind, and that's what we have today.
It's simultaneous rain and snow. And it's a lousy form of weather to combat—too wet for scarves and mitts, too cold and snowy for an umbrella. Sometimes I miss Tokyo.
