mutilated child corpse in syria

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2011.05.31

Today some thugs in the employment of the Syrian government dumped the mutilated body of a thirteen year old at the home of his parents.

No point in going through the unbelievable extent of suffering they put the boy through here. But I'll say this: a new low for humanity was reached with the appalling treatment of this child. This is a terrible indictment of the sickening Syrian regime and of our species. The thoughts of my family in Canada are with the people of Syria.

I'm going to hug my son when I see him (as I always do when I come home) and I'm itching for a chance to do something about Syria. Guess it can't hurt to write my new MP for a start.
