let it snow...

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Tokyo, 2010.02.18

Kenny had his first experience with a real snowstorm today. By Tokyo standards, anyway.

I took him outside when we first woke up to see the big flakes drifting down. He delighted in trying to catch snowflakes, once I'd shown him how. Naturally, when it was time to take him to the day care, the weather had warmed a bit and it was not nice fluffy flakes coming down but a drizzling sleet. Nasty!

Kenny chose that setting to drop his mitts of course. He squawked for a while that I wasn't giving them back to him, and arrived at the day care with very cold hands. But my strategy of constantly putting the gloves back on his hands clearly hasn't been working, so I hope he'll get the message.
