camera-drop park

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Tokyo, 2009.09.22

Not every visit to the park on the end of the street ends in disastrous dropping of photo equipment or sudden downbursts of rain. It just seems like it.

Today Kenny and I had a pretty good time. I guided him through the long climb up the tall (2m+) ladder at the park's slide with some trepidation. It was from such a slide that I fell when I was not much older than Kenny is now. It was that fall that caused my 'lonpari' (eyes looking in different directions) and perhaps my lifelong bout with migraines.

Happily, Kenny came through just fine. He climbs very well, now, and because there are two slides descending from the platform, he delighted in keeping me guessing as to which slide he'd take.

rand()m quote

The point isn't revenge. It is justice. Revenge is like a wave that washes up on shore - it always washes back out again. Justice is like the shore - it's still there after the wave comes and goes.
