shopping day
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
We went to Ginza for a shopping expedition. While waiting for my wife and my mother to emerge from a fabric store, I was entertaining the boy and while chasing him away from a busy intersection I discovered a new camera store along the the Harumi dori strip.
Mum bought surprisingly little, but Mari picked up a few pieces. After the shopping we dropped in on our favourite south-Indian restaurant. And then home, where once again the two women teamed up. This time it was to alter the length of the curtains in the boy's room. I spent the time outside with Ken. We went to camera-drop park and I managed not to damage any of my cameras.
