twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2004.12.18

Today I got a taste for how much I've aged. There was a girl in the line at the Starbucks ahead of us who was wearing a sleeveless winter coat, a long-sleeved t-shirt, expensive looking running shoes, and what were clearly pajama bottoms. I didn't know whether she'd done this by accident, or whether this was simply 'what the kids are wearing these days'.
