oh park property you scoundrels

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Halifax, 2003.12.16

Today the weather gradually improved from heavy rain to clear skies.

It was much better than yesterday's nightmarish conditions (during which I had to change my jeans at mid-day, because they'd absorbed so much rain and sleet below my jacket).

My application from yesterday looked like it might get hung up thanks to some noise from my current landlords in Toronto. Park Property in T/O claims that I'm cutting out on my lease without notice and without having paid my last four month's rent.

When I heard about it, I called them from here and they told me to send them a fax stating that I'd lost my job in T.O. and that I had another to come to in Halifax. I will have to do so tomorrow.

At four PM, I got a call from the building management at the new place. The place I applied for yesterday let me sign a lease even with all of Park Property's BS. Looks like I have a place to live!
