hello, Halifax

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Halifax, 2003.10.25

Charlie's place is immense. He's probably got about the same amount of floor space in his one-bedroom unit that he, Erano, and I had in our three-bedroom Queen's Quay unit in Toronto.

We started the day with a trip to the walk-in clinic. Someone, it seems, forgot to pack his inhaler and needed an hour at the clinic to get another one!

After that it was off to Peggy's Cove. The weather cooperated wonderfully.

We wound up at a pub downtown for Irish fare. Mmm, Halifax.

The problem is not people being uneducated. The problem is that people are educated just enough to believe what they have been taught, and not educated enough to question anything from what they have been taught.
