cougars everywhere

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Halifax, 2003.11.01

What a day. We met up with Andrea again, and spent the day out in the Annapolis valley. Then we came back to Sailor Yoon's place for a collaborative dinner (the women did most of the work; Charlie had the evening off, for once. As usual, I contributed to the occasional tasting of food and rambling commentary on various topics). At around midnight we headed out to one of the late-night places downtown.

It was one of the most 'cougar'-overrun places I'd ever seen. A 40-something meetmarket of the first order. At 2:45 I called it quits. Charlie and Tracey got in by 4:30. I dunno how the did it.

rand()m quote

A civilization is a heritage of beliefs, customs, and knowledge slowly accumulated in the course of centuries, elements difficult at times to justify by logic, but justifying themselves as paths when they lead somewhere, since they open up for man his inner distance.

—Antoine de Saint-Exupery
