Nova Scotia is nice

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2003.11.02

Home again, home again, diggity dig. Nova Scotia was really good. The weather held up, for the most part, and the place re-affirmed the impression I'd had from two previous visits of having many fine places to see and drink in.

Our return flight was delayed, once again, but we got back safe and sound. Of course, we hadn't even left the airport before having to re-adjust to the Toronto 'manners'. It also took us three cabs to actually leave the premisis of the airport after the first one drove off without us and the second realized that we weren't the fare he'd been called for. Sleepy Halifax ways swept away in an hour.

The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.
