Ken and I went down to a bit of a car exhibition in Yaletown this morning. We looked at the cars. I took photos. Then we went into a 'side show', in which a fellow:
- drove hat pins through the skin of his arm
- drove hat pins through his cheeks
- drove hat pins through the skin of his throat
- drove a nail into his nose
Another escaped from a straight jacket while his head was inside a plastic garbage bag. A woman had a cinder block broken on her stomach while she lay on a bed of nails. Another danced with a single glass ball, making it do strange tricks. A third did a dance of... well, only two veils, but you got the idea.
