hiking around a dam
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
After an admittedly slow start to the day, Charlie, Heidi, and I went for a bit of a hike around the dam that holds most of Vancouver's drinking water. After that, it was back to my place for more drinks, I'm afraid, and by the time dinner was an issue we were already too loud and obnoxious for most of the local choices in dining establishments. So we went to the Firken and made noise in a quiet corner upstairs.
Then we went to my very first improv experience; a competition of two teams in a championship called "The St. Valentine's Massacre", at Vancouver Theatresports League. Admission was delightfully cheap, but the drinks - oh, the drinks - made up for that. We had a pretty good time. The funnier team lost to the team with the better comraderie.
