meeting people and influencing no-one

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2001.07.13

Moving Jon was an ordeal. Not for the usual reasons, but for his tenant Chako having a cat. People and their habits of living with animals! Luckily, our Jonathan owns next to nothing, so it went quickly. The Molson Indy is making a hell of a racket in the city today; you could hear it clear over on the east end where his amazingly dusty storage facility is.

After moving, we went and visited with some of the old Trimark crowd. Then it was off to the Keg, where we met with Jean and her gang. My allergies were in full swing, naturally, perfect time to meet new people.

rand()m quote

It's difficult in times like these: ideals, dreams and cherished hopes rise within us, only to be crushed by grim reality. It's a wonder I haven't abandoned all my ideals, they seem so absurd and impractical. Yet I cling to them because I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.
