Once in a while a crazy match-up in a buddy movie really works, and this is one of them. The consummate professional in Jackie Chan, and the unbelievable loud-mouth in Chris Tucker. Two cops from very different police forces work together through the usual series of scenes of escalating stakes and complexity and violence. It just works, being clever and quick and even-handed.
Recommended. Not serious fare, but a good time.
