wanikani level eight!

As I relentlessly record in this journal, I'm studying the Japanese language. Since August 9, 2023, I've been using an online study tool for kanji and vocabulary. It has "levels", dozens of them. Today, a year and a day after reaching level six, I reached level eight.
For context, here is how that progress stacks up against the JLPT tests. As you can see, I'm well clear of N5, the lowest level, but I'm only half-way through N4. We'll call it N4.5. Grammar wise, I'm supposed to be about N3.7. So, clearly my limited vocabulary has been holding me back. For a long time.
