building a photo editing app

I have some photo-editing software that runs on my Macbook Air and on a Windows PC. But the way the app saves its meta-data makes it impossible to transfer that meta-data when you transfer the photos between the PC's. Which is crazy if you're editing photos on both, such as when on a trip with your camera and laptop. I looked at other software out there and found it a) mostly awful and b) not able to transfer the meta data. So I'm looking at making my own.

I made this in about a day; many of the sliders still don't do anything, and I have no code to export the final product yet. By the end of next weekend, I'll be done.

What is clearly happening is that AI is wiping out all the ring-fences around skill-sets. We have digitized human knowledge and now we are automating it. At some point, projects like this are going to offer alternatives to countless existing paid services.

But the next thing that occurs to me; any of us with projects in mind better get them done fast; I don't see how this setup can last, where someone else is burning cash to let me do this.
