movie review - the beekeeper

This is a Jason Statham flick. I'm not sure there's much else that needs to be said. It's nicer than The Mechanic movies, closer to the Transporter movies in vibe. He's a retired operative for a small "off the books" quasi-military organization, and in time-honored tradition, he comes out of retirement after someone close to him dies due to the actions of some thugs. In this case telescammers.
I liked the reasonable plot, the modern themes of scammers preying on the elderly and the online world being increasingly divorced by and influencing real life. The characters all do things that make sense, and the supporting cast was terrific. It was what I was looking for after four hours of driving and then cleaning some fish.
Recommended.
