electric face
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
I've been shaving with a single blade since the previous millennium, but there was a time more than thirty years ago when I used an electric shaver with rotating heads. I hated it. So now I'm trying a foil shaver, but I was dismayed at how expensive they've become. Realizing that my stubble is neither thick enough or course enough to warrant a heavy-duty shaver, and that I am on the road fairly frequently, I went with an inexpensive travel shaver.
So why am I talking about this: I'm moving away from Amazon as part of a Canada-wide slow-down of purchases from billionaires who support the sock-puppet Sauron in the White House. "I have many American friends", but seriously enough's enough. It took me a while to track down in Tokyo and it cost a bit more, but no billionaires got paid and my money's not fueling a possible invasion of my home country.
I'm also happy to note that I now have no fewer than three uses of rechargeable triple-A batteries. I reckon they're marginally better than disposable Lithium-Ion fixed batteries.
