dual-boot once more

Kokubunji, 2025.12.05

I've been using Linux on the desktop off and on since Slackware circa 1992 when Ken-my-brother got into it. I've been using Windows Subsystem for Linux instead of a separate Linux installation for several years, but I've come to realize that its insanely slow filesystem speed makes it very poorly suited for the purpose of backing up my web/database server and duplicating data drives. So I've gone back to a new installation, this time using the friendly Linux Mint. I have to say it's nice to only need to do a couple of command-line things to get it going, unlike the endless tricks to get a semi-usable OS as it was back in the '90s.
