not a contest winner

It looks like the contest winners have been announced for the annual photo contest here in Kokubunji. Several local photographers had winning entries, but I wasn't one. I feel vindicated in moving to a more cheap-and-cheerful camera approach with my recent "trade down".

Japanese garden on a rainy day
外国人居住者として、私は明らかに日本的な風景を嬉しく思います。 早春の落ち着いた色合いに、雨の天気がよく似合っているように感じました。

春の国分寺
私にとって、この光景は日本の春を思い出させます。 私は幸運にも花びらを手に入れることができました。小さな子供たちが花びらを私のフレームに投げ入れてくれました。

温室での日の出
私は国分寺市とほぼ同じ人口のカナダの都市で生まれた。近所に再び温室があることを嬉しく思う。

冬至の翌日、殿ヶ谷戸庭園を再訪しました。 この写真には、冬でも暖かさがある可能性を感じました。
