twenty-seven years and one million words

Kokubunji, 2024.02.17

Long ago I learned the kanji 時 for "time" in Japanese. It's a bit of a necessity when living in Japan, I suppose. But I've recently learned 計 for "measure". And in a passage where a story is related of a burglar stealing the various precious possessions of the textbook's main character, I learned that putting those together is the word for "clock" or "watch"; "time measure". 時計.
