The kids suggested we watch this animated movie based on a TV series based on a series of toys from my son's early childhood. Using a standard Five Man Band set-up, a group of young heroes masquerades in a local high school as average kids. They've each got a specially-designed flying .. I want to say fighter-jet that they use in their constant battles with the villain, a masked lunatic who lives in a nearby island fortress.
The writing is slick, the animation engaging, and the plot has enough substance to hold an adult viewer. Which is great, because that was me.
Recommended. For watching with the kids.
