This is a story about a cop who finds himself investigating something that seems to lead to shady stuff all over the district. It's a nasty story and the main character clearly understands that he has to make some decisions about how far he wants to take his investigation. Before long, he suspects half his department is involved, and with more bodies turning up the stakes are clear.
I liked this story for its menacing vibe and the realistic feel of it all. As messed up as things are in the community depicted, I can't say they're out of line with what we seem to be experiencing in society today. The casting is excellent, the acting superb, and the resulting tale is engaging and feels real.
